Math is everywhere

While spring-cleaning, I found a huge piece of quilted cloth that my mum made for Vee when he was a baby.

Makes a great playmat for all of us now!

One of the first things we did was to figure out how many squares there were.

4yo Jae was really fast cos he’s been happily reciting x8 tables recently. The power of early right brain learning. It’s totally fine for young children to recite first and understand later.

Just today alone, the mat has been the field for Chinese chess, dollhouses, and racing cars.

Counting down to the 6/12 workshops
